[Sussex] Swimming the channel for Royal Alexandra Hospital

I've seen on instagram a Brighton woman is currently swimming the channel for The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital Her just giving page is https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/channelswimmingmum if anybody wants to make a donation.

I didn't know that. Saw she completed it in 12 hours 45 minutes. I don't think a lot of people would have managed the 5:30 am start nevermind the swim

I tried and failed to swim the channel myself a few years ago so I know how tough it is

I got three quarters of the way across but knew I wasn't going to make it so i swam all the way back again.

I tried to swim the Solent once and ended up on Hayling Island rather than the IOW. (which is one of the reasons why I gave the RNLI a few quid last week)

For every one of these genuine just forgiving type fund raisers where the individual has raised say in excess of 10k the government should match pound for pound, great effort!
