I was on the receiving end of a challenge like that when I played for my college. Had my knee in a brace for ages, and it's never been right since. Hope the guy's OK.

Didnt agree with that. Not even a tackle got the ball well before other player. Just because ball a foot of ground is he not expected to go for it

That leg bent, that was ****ing horrific, if that leg was planted, its broken. Clearest red you will see at this tournament

Looked horrible the first time they showed it.
And the second time,
And the third,
Wait ,hey are showing it again.
Stop showing me this horrible tackle TV director.
Really was horrific.

That tackle nearly made me puke when I saw it, having been side swiped while on my push bike needing ACL and MCL reconstruction surgery I feel so sorry for that fella. Awful challenge.

My wife's Ukrainian, finds it pretty annoying.

She is now acting like she cares about football, lose lose scenario for me if they win tonight...

Instead of "the wife", do you refer to your wife as "the Ukranian" Harry Wilson's tackle wouldn't approve.

It’s a harsh red for me. He has to go for the ball and it’s the natural follow through which catches him.

‘Don’t let the ball bounce’ is the old adage, that’s good defending for me.

It’s the slow motion and the visual of the opponents leg which makes it look worse.

There are dozens of clearances like that per game typically, just that the follow through doesn’t connect. On those occasions it’s called good, positive defending.

It's the straight leg, and the position of the foot which is the issue.

On the same basis then, why isn’t the strikers follow through there, deemed reckless and dangerous?

That’s why I’m not buying the red card.

Looks like the ref is suffering with cramp.

This looks a really, tough attritional game - both physically and mentally. Not nice to see players miss out on potentially one of the biggest game of their careers through injury or suspension, but from a selfish England point of view it’s everything you could hope for.
