Once again it looks like Sussex unable to adapt to the slog called the 20 20 Cup.

After 9.4 Overs Surrey are already 122 for 2 wickets. Nearly 13 per over?

"Watching" the game on Sky teletext was a complete shambles.

They got the teams completely wrong. The first innings was looking really promising, with Sussex batsmen apparently knocking up a massive score. An exciting Worcestershire -v- Gloucestershire tie to watch as well (Worcestershire winning by one run).

Only when I switched over to BBC1 (and its ever-reliable Ceefax service) did the awful truth emerge about what was going on at Hove. It was feckin' Surrey who were piling up the runs!

Sussex's bowling was inept and too much of the fielding was inert.

i was there, surrey batted amazingly well, i stood up and gave a standing ovation when they reached 200. from what i remember we had had bowled something like 25 extras in the first 5 overs. mo akram and former england international james kirtley doing most of the damage.

still not as good a shoaibs efforts for durham last wednesday. we got 11 off his first ball of the day
