Six points between us and history being made. It seems to be fate that the title race is taken down to the line and will be played out in front of home crowds at Hove.

The gates will open at 9.30am and play will begin at 10.30am each day. Prices are £10 adults, £7 Seniors/students, £3 Under 16s, Under 5s FREE, Members FREE. Tickets will be available on the gate.

MEMBERS - Please note that there is very limited parking on a first come first served basis.

The squad is the same as for the Lancashire match with the sad news that James has not been passed fit to play. He will of course be present during the match to lend support. Murray is in fine fettle after being hit above the eye during the Lancashire match, he managed to take part in Five Live's Phil Tufnell show whilst having stitches put in!

Montgomerie

Score updates will be provided by a live scorecard and session updates via our information line on 01273 827145. We will also endeavour to keep updates on this front page.

When England captain Michael Vaughan said county cricket "can get boring" he certainly wasn't talking about the last month of the season.

Surrey were cruising to their fourth County Championship in five years before crippling defeats to Lancashire and Kent knocked their season off the rails.

Instead, Sussex's first ever Championship crown appeared a formality, until they choked against Lancashire at Old Trafford.

The Division One relegation spots were decided last weekend but there is plenty still to play for going into the final week of matches.

Sussex need six bonus points in a home match against relegated Leicestershire to clinch the title.

Lancashire can only top them if they get maximum points away to Division One bottom side Nottinghamshire, and if Sussex fail to gain the bonus points.

Anyone hear me cheer at half-time yesterday when Attila mentioned it? I stood up like a lemon and shouted out "MUSHY!" and "CHAMPIONS"!

Presumably we're ok if Lancs fail to make 350 against Notts, or don't take their wickets quickly enough?

They need maximum points whatever happens don't they?

Come on Notts....

yes, if Lancs are all out for 150, then we only need one point. Assuming that Lancs go on to win.

Hhmmm, not the most likely scenario.

Adams was grat on Sky this morning. I paraphrase:

"Yes, it's important we don't start the party too early. We just need to get those six points. Though we will be going all out for a win."

I don't want them to get the six points today. I'm going tomorrow and I want to be there when it happens.

Leics all out by tea for about 200 and Sussex 100-0 at the close would do nicely. :)
