Sussex second innings 200 for 4, from 68 overs

Sussex are leading by 249 runs

Good chance of a win today of the bowlers are on fire again. Whats the weather like in Hove today? Showers predicted.

If they can start on time I would suggest we bat for an hour, maybe get a further 80-90 runs in that tie setting Gloucs 330+ for a win. Early inroads by Kirtley and Lewry into the soft underbelly.

Lets hope the weather holds.

I loved this comment from the Argus:

The county had earned themselves a lead of 49 but the contest was back in the balance again five overs into their second innings when Matt Prior joined Richard Montgomerie back in the hutch with just seven runs on the board.

'In the hutch'!?

:D

There is a LOT of heavy cloud cover but no rain in the air as yet. I expect a very quick decleration.

Naved-ul-Husan (Rana to his mates) to be the hero - a swift 5 for and he's topping the first class bowling average

what a guy

With 4 wickets down I reckon we should try and get 70+ off the first 15 overs, lead of 320, 2 and a half sessions to get them in.

A draw is meaningless, Sussex must be bold.

Why didn't they start earlier to get some of the lost time back like they do in the test matches? Stupid.

Luke Wright is swinging the bat, send i nMushynext for a 25 run cameo off 12 balls !!

Who cares about personal milestones? We need to reach a preset target, I reckon 320 would be right but they may go 340 or higher.

I would stilllike a lead of 330. If they declare shortly after 12 then there could still be 85 overs to be bowled leaving them a run rate of under 4. Spearman is a dangerous batsman if he gets in.

It would suggest there is either still a bit in the pitch for the bowlers or the conditions are right for the bowlers. All bodes well for us bowling Glouc out for 180 I reckon.
