Sure the attached picture, Is that not a sending off offence? Taking off shirth, even though he has a vest on?

Just been bugging me since Sunday?

I think it's just a yellow card offence.... With any decent referee though the player should get away with it and rightly so.

Feel sorry for refs at the moment. Did you see the one at the villa match after he had booked hendrie? While he was writing the reason down he was shaking his head as if he couldn't believe what he was having to do.

To be fair to the refs they have been told they have to enforce it. That leaves them two options book someone which if it is his 2ndy yellow means they get sent off, or not book them. If the ref doesn't book them they will get told off by the FA.

Not quite as offensive a Dietmar Hamans "tackle" that gets the same punishment as someone taking their shirt off ! Ludicrous.

The players who have been sent off has been because it was their second yellow, therefore a red

I agree, refs are under closer scrutiny than ever before and this ruling about goal celebration just makes their life harder.

Mind you, the players do have a responsibility to obey the laws of the game however ridiculous they are.

its to do with it being offensive in some countrys

Quite understandable really.

Many years ago on a lads holiday to the Canaries, some of us played 5-a-side footy against some germans in the hotel and they got a penalty.
Our keeper did a mooney at their player, who promptly missed the penalty. The Germans weren't too pleased, but some older English guys who were watching thought it was funny. Don't know if they took offence, but it was only done in fun.

Ahh, those were the days.....

I remember Alan Young getting sent off for Leicester against us at the Goldstone (early 80's?) and he pulled a moony at the ref as he left the pitch!! They had another player sent off that day too.
Personally, I would rather a player removed his shirt than his shorts!
