Trotter going to bloton for £400,000. Why did we not go in for him proven championship quality and cheap price

He played a blinder against us last year but not sure he is 'proven championship quality'. Does sound cheap though....

Proven Championship quality? According to a Millwall fan I work with he has about 1 good game in 10 and is lazy and disinterested most of the time.

Always plays well against us but doesn't do a whole lot in between those matches there's a reason he is valued at 400k.

Bizarre how many people seem to rave about Trotter based on one appearance against us, two and a half years ago.

Yet he was still at Millwall until today- is he really that good?

Id have trotter over stephens any day. Only one year older aswell

As much as you may desire it, I very much doubt that either let alone both would consent.

it's not just the initial fee, there's his wages too. They may be paying him silly money

This. They still have parachute money, so like Reading and Burnley are able to outbid on wages other clubs like the BHA who appear of similar or greater size. Bolton
appear to be making no effort to clear their vast debts.
