Being the incurable romantic that I am, my favourite film of his is a little known little gem called, Somewhere in Time, with the ever beautiful and gorgeous Jane Seymour. It really is a beautiful love story.

Ironic that he dies just a few days after getting mentioned in the 2nd presidential debate.
Reeve was a big supporter of embryonic stem cell research which offers hope that cures for spinal injuries can be found. Reeve often said he put himself through the daily agonies only because he sincerely believed that one day scientists would make a breakthrough while he lived. Tragically, he didn't make it.
Embryonic stem cell is of course currently being blocked by the Christian fundamentalist in the White House who would rather people like Reeve suffer than scientists be given a free hand to find cures. The religious zealots in America really think these collection of cells are "life" and can't be experimented upon
It's a terrible example of how under George Bush the great American democratic principle of the seperation of church and state has come under attack.
I hope John Kerry in the final Presidential debate once again uses Reeve's inspirational words as he did in the 2nd debate.
