Do I take it none of the broadcasters have taken the EUFA World club bollox?

Not sure the European University Film Award have ever been televised.

The FIFA World Club Cup however is on 5, they appear to be showing 23 games.

It's scandalous that more games aren't being shown live on the main channels. With mouthwatering fixtures such as Pachuca v RB Salzburg, Ulsan v Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad AC v Al Ain, nobody could deny that this really is the creme de la menthe of football and I for one will be GLUED.

As a Salzburg season ticket holder I must take issue with you … before agreeing that it’s nonsense. Salzburg has not even been the best club in Austria in the last two seasons, and that’s a fairly low bar.

I still can't work out why Chelsea are in there seeing as it's four years since they won the UCL and they've been pretty poor ever since, at least by their standards.

It's almost as though this whole thing is about...money?

The Infantino Bollocks-o-Meter is going to be off the scale for this tournament, it really is. What with it being hosted by his chum Trump, the whole thing will be a nauseating shit-fest on a level even the Qatar World Cup couldn't touch. In fact, it's exactly the sort of event Chelsea really belong in, off the field at least.

Ah yes of course. Messi and Beckham were never going to miss that cash generating wheeze opportunity to spread football's message of love and peace across the planet while determining once and for all who is the greatest team on earth, were they?

I've just signed up for FREE with DAZN. Presume it's streaming only, must find the app on Sky or my TV.
Whilst I had ZERO interest in this money making circus, I have to admit there are a few games that will interest me, I just cant find them. Boca Juniors or River Plate against a big European club. PSG v Athletico Madrid is interestingly the second match. Hit them with a big game and they'll stay with us maybe.
EDIT Found Boca v Bayern Munich at 2 am in the morning!

Mad that the MLS allowed it.
Their reasons for doing so were probably as spurious as the ones behind Chelsea's selection.

I get that there are some big clashes in there. But I just can't see the players busting a gut to win it in the same way that they would for a Champions League game. This is just another FIFA money making exercise and a bunch of glorified pre-pre-season friendlies.

I just can't bring myself to care one bit, whereas I'd watch the UCL final and key games even if there were no English teams in it. My one hope for it is that City and Chelsea pick up loads of injuries and it completely ruins the first half of next season for them.

I'm joking of course.

Hopefully it ruins their whole season.
