Have you ever tried Hoegaarden with a load of lime and ginger beer? Don't write it off as ciompletely homosexual until you try it. Gorgeous it is.

Quite often find myself enjoying a nice pint of cider on really hot days. So much more refreshing than lager.

Rather like a bottle of San Miguel in the summer remind me of being on holiday.

Can't be bothered to find a picture though.

Hot days are about the only thing that makes American mass-market lagers drinkable. I don't ordinarily drink any beer you can see through, but a 37º (F) Budweiser after mowing the lawn or whatever is just the ticket.

Although the month of June has been dreadful. Three times the average rainfall. No day with more than an hour of sunshine since the 18th, and yesterday's high was 58º. If you stand in one place for more than an hour, you'll sprout shelf fungus.

Harveys Pale (Think they brand it as Hadlow Ale) or Deuchars IPA both reasonably low gravity session ales for a nice summers day. For something a bit stronger Summer Lightning or Harveys Tom Paine (Tom Paine month starts tomorrow - hurrah). Or else a nice cold Budweiser - the proper Czech stuff not the American rubbish.

In London village.
Not often tempted by cold beer but a nice pint of Thatchers or Westons cider is fine.
