Subject headings - a polite request

With all due respect to people, for example, passing their exams, that's not so important in my world - or other Albions fans - as, say, the signing of Leon Knight.

Ambiguous headings make it much harder to seperate Albion and non-Albion subjects. And, by misleading visitors, they waste considerable bandwidth.

Please, please respect other users by using clear, descriptive subject headings when starting a thread.

Meopham, Kent.
Also, if it's off topic, so not the Albion, should we not just begin it

"OT - "

Sorry, I wasn't picking on one person - LOADS of people do it, and it's f***ing annoying.

An example: if you're going to cut and paste a story about Leon from the BBC website, it would be a good idea to include "BBC" in the subject header, don't you think? Would stop (literally) 10 other people pasting the same story to the board.

Common sense, that's all.

Is there a way of having an option of clicking on an icon to suggest the threads contents? ie like the Poll: comes up could we have a few like Cricket:, O/T, Exams and then it is easy to distinguish. Might be a crap idea and not possible, what are your thoughts?

But it's easier to write a proper subject heading!

"Woohoo!"

Oh, it's a picture of chesse. What a twat.

Or...

"Here's a picture of cheese"

Oh, I think I'll ignore that.

:lolol:

You can select an icon for the message when you start a new thread. Click 'New Thread' and observe.

Perhaps we need to put a few new ones there that are more applicable....

...naming a thread descriptively would be a big help though.
