DAVID STOCKDALE says the Albion squad has been subdued by the Shoreham Airshow tragedy.
The goalkeeper made an unprompted visit to the family of victim Matthew Grimstone alongside club ambassador Alan Mullery.
Grimstone, a popular member of Albion’s groundstaff, was also a goalkeeper for Worthing United.
“It’s been very tough to be able to concentrate but now we have turned it into more of what can we do at the weekend to help a little bit?
“Using a bit of strength they would like to think they are bringing to us from where ever they are to make things a little better.”
Stockdale returns with the second-placed Seagulls to leaders Ipswich tomorrow, where he had a spell on loan earlier in his career, bidding for a third clean sheet out of five in the Championship.
