Surely its getting out of control. Time was when there was at most one or two, now it seems there's always about six. People will always find threads of their own accord if it's that much of a deal to them, so for something to be stuck up at the top it should be of particular or urgent importance to everyone, or just left to the usual process.

Of the current crop:

TWO Leon threads (no need, people can find them, they'd be at the top anyway)

A Fantasy Bookie thread (only relevant to those doing it, they can find it)

Predicting the Blues - again, no need

NSC sponsorship - doesn't seem necessary, unless someone is out of pocket, but it's been up there for ages

Bet Hi Lo - possibly, if it generates cash for NSC.

End this sticky madness. Find your own threads.

If its a popular thread it will be at the top anyway. Down with Sticky

The main reason for having a current thread ie Leon Knight as a sticky is to prevent what happened yesterday when there were 10 or so threads started which all said the same thing.

That way people can contribute to the one thread.

But isn't it the anarchy of multiple threads saying the same thing, with all the timing differences that make it such fun ?

That's democracy baby, you can't stop people being stupid. It's all a bit interfering nanny state if you ask me (I know, no-one did). Have we got some sun-dried tomato omelette-eating Blairites on the buttons? It might be the same thing, but it's my thing. And I still don't see even if your argument stood up, which it doesn't, why we need two Leon threads stuck.

One was saying he's rejected QPR and stuck from this morning

The second was the official news about a 2 yr deal
