You know that Eric Prydz song "Call On Me"?

That's basically a rip-off (or 'sample' as they call it) of Steve Winwood's hit "Valerie".

I still want to know, has he ever played in Brighton before? Granted that my teen years were mostly spent in an alcoholic stupour, but I have no recollection of Traffic playing in Brighton from 1970 onwards. Perhaps they did that place in Manchester Street, Jimmy's? or Sussex Uni prior to that.

Probably because by 1970, Traffic (with Stevie Winwood) had split up. He went on to form Blind Faith with Eric Clapton, ensuring that there were was so much talent with so many egos and agendas that it was automatic that they split with six months.

No Face, No Name, No Number, incidentally, is an AWESOME track.

He joined them as a teen prodigy, and I heard he occasionally had problems when playing places where the occupants had to be over 18.

He and Muff were, like Ray and Dave Davies, brothers in a famous band.

Bloody talented lad, played guitar, keyboards, and sang - it's a bit of a wonder that Spencer Davis even got mentioned, let alone the band named for him!
John Mayall also attained fame through the musicians in his band(s). To my ears his singing is awful and his keyboard and harp playing average at best - but he somehow attracted Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Aynsley Dunbar, Koko Montoya, Harvey Mandel, Mick Taylor, Jack Bruce, John Hiseman, Dick Heckstall Smith, Colin Allen to name a few.
Right place, right time. Mayall championed the blues and made the efforts to meet and jam with blues legends whenever he could. Alexis Korner was before him in doing this, but Mayall caught the wave down from Manchester to London in 1964 and rode it farther and wider. From Alexis Korner's bands and friends, came The Rolling Stones, The Graham Bond Organization, Long John Baldry (and therefore Rod Stewart), The Pretty Things, Pentangle, Paul Jones (Manfred Mann) Robert Plant, Bruce and Baker (Cream) and others.

Irresistable! A funky rhythm with a Motown style - fingerpopping and tough stuff in 1965.

Want more? This place is hot...... (great organ sound!) So glad they made it :)

Then there was psychedelia, and this (pretty awful) video (great tune though, with decent sound of course)

At Concorde 2, he might look and sound 'something' like this;

Yes, and yes. He started off with I'm a Man, did Gimme Some Lovin', Keep on Running, Dear Mr Fantasy, Can't Find My Way Home, Back in The High Life Again, Empty Pages, Higher Love, Rainmaker (brilliant!), Why Can't We Live Together, and Crossroads.

Fantastic, and a really good gig.
