Just been told by a fulham supporting mate Steve Sidwell is close to signing for us, I have no idea where he got his info so may be crap.

Not the first time I've heard this either rumoured or suggested. Not saying that makes it any more likely of course, but I'd certainly be happy with it.

Delighted if true , be surprised if he drops a level at this point in his career mind.

Before Vicente, I reckon he was the best player I (1986 onwards) have ever seen play for the Albion.

Would be a great signing especially now that we know Vicente is on board. Maybe Fulham could have Harley:whistle:

Would be a great signing for us. Perfect fit for our style, although he's not 30 till December though so maybe we'll wait till Jan to get him.

Lots of rumours about this from different sources, would it be on loan though for match fitness after his injury? He was playing regularly for Fulham before his injury...

He'd bag a number of goals in the championship plus provide a very solid base with Liam. I think this would be a superb signing!

Okay so it will be a loan can't see it being for the season as he was a regular for them before his injury, what would everyone think of a 6 month loan would this be any good?

Why would he come here? He was a regular for Fulham last year.

Granted it's not exactly the same situation, but so was Navarro here.

Sidwell would be a great signing if true. Also, I'm wondering if Gus is holding on for a bit re: strikers to see how the current crop get on in pre-season before splashing the cash. Again, it's not exactly a measure of the championship, but I've read a lot of positive reports about Hoskins from Saturday's game. Terrible cliché, but he could be like a new signing for us next season...
