Madjeski is not stupid. A new three year deal for the ginger one means a big fat transfer fee when the Premiership inevitably comes calling.

I wish we had been able to sign him.

So do I but when all said and done at the end of the day they were streets ahead of us on infrastructure and that probably sealed it.

Probably the latter. Don't expect that money to find its way back into the team, Madjeski needs it for his private art collection!

High up on the South Downs.
I'm surprised that premiership clubs haven't been sniffing around already. He had some superb performances when he was onloan with us including the last one at Coventry.

He was pivotal in some of the most important games last year, and some of the games with the most media coverage as well.
The Telegraph ran an article about him before we played Chelsea, talking about his premiership ambitions.
Maybe he wants to acheive them with Reading?

:jester:

I don't think so, sunshine. Sidwell is the one reason I feel about Pardew as you do.

Sidders will be off the first Premiership offer you get but at least this way you will get some cash for him.

Without starting another row!

Who owns Reading is it a group or one wealthy man!

They are not ALL bad like our three!

How can you post that & not want a row? Unless you think you are on everyone's ignore list apart from Ernest & berkshire.

almost certainly the difference between relegation and staying up....a class act is sidwell

Classs indeed. And to think we might have been able to buy him for £100K if only we had borrowed a little. He must be worth around £1M now.

I dont want an argument just pointing out that because we happened to inherit, for whatever reason 3 crooks, it doesn't follow that I man buying a club is neccessarily bad. So if 1 man with loads of dosh comes forward to help us out why shouldn't we take it.

Or am I wrong yet once again.

It's just a risk too far for us just now, surely.

If someone genuinely wants to invest in the club, why would they want total control? He/she should not fear sharing the control any more than DK does.

Bens Grandad,

Think I missunderstood your reference to who was all bad - presumably you meant Archer.
Apologies.

However, if I had the money I would still want DK in charge, given his track record of reviving the club on a shoestring.
