Dale Stephens is a slight doubt for Albion's League Cup tie against Colchester United at the Amex tomorrow night.
The midfielder was suspended for Saturday's opening Championship draw at Derby County.
Manager Chris Hughton told The Argus today: "We will know tomorrow. I think he will be fine. He took a whack in training two or three days ago.
"It's a good opportunity for those that didn't play at the weekend."
Stephens is set to be joined in central midfield by new signing Oliver Norwood.
The manager, mindful of Nottingham Forest's league visit on Friday evening and another home game against Rotherham next Tuesday, also revealed that left-back Sam Adekugbe will be in the squad.
The 21-year-old is on loan for the season from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.
