Transfer to the Premier League: FCN has exercised their option to buy Stefanos Tzimas from PAOK FC and realized a transfer to Brighton & Hove Albion with a subsequent loan back until the summer.

The 19-year-old was loaned from 1. FC Nürnberg by PAOK FC in the summer of 2024. Since then, he has appeared in 17 matches. The striker has scored ten goals and assisted a further two. That is a great performance. He deserves any praise. But do not worry if you are not as athletic. You can still score at the new Vave Casino New Zealand.

Joti Chatzialexiou, Chief Sports Officer: ‘It is something special for 1. FC Nürnberg to make an international transfer - especially in this category. We as a club are proud of those involved in the realization. I know Brighton's head coach Fabian Hürzeler and assistant coach Daniel Niedzkowski from my time at the DFB and I am convinced that he will be in good hands with them. It's a great next step for Stefanos, and we wish him all the best and success in the summer!’

Olaf Rebbe, Sporting Director: ‘When we gave Stefanos the shirt number 9 in the summer and said that he wasn't a player for FCN, but a category above, we couldn't foresee how fantastic his time in Nuremberg would be. We are very proud of this transfer for the club family and are also very happy for Stefanos. We would like to thank Brighton & Hove Albion and PAOK FC for the respectful negotiations. This transfer shows what we can create at the club. Besides the financial framework, this is the greatest value for us.’

Stefanos Tzimas: ‘I am very happy that my dream of playing in the Premier League will be realized this summer. I would like to thank FCN for the opportunity they have given me and the trust they have placed in me. I would also like to thank PAOK FC. To all FCN fans: I'm looking forward to the next games and would like to contribute as many goals as possible to a successful season.’

1st FC Nuremberg: ‘It's something special to make an international transfer’

Tzimas came to Nuremberg last summer and scored ten goals in 17 second-division games, which only five others have bettered. He increased his market value from €1.8 million to €10 million during this period. When asked about his future from the summer, Tzimas said in an interview with ‘Kicker’ in December that he did not have a favorite team in Europe, but described the Premier League as his ‘dream league’.

Now he explained: ‘I'm very happy that my dream of playing in the Premier League will be fulfilled this summer. I would like to thank FCN for the opportunity they have given me and the trust they have placed in me. I would also like to thank PAOK FC. Brighton&Hove Albion Football Club welcomed him with the words: Stefanos is a Seagull!
