McGhee says that we're not a free-scoring side, yet, this season we still managed a 4-0 win against Wycombe.

Does anyone know the last time we went through a season and failed to score four goals in a game? Even in our darkest depths of the Archer and Gillingham years, we managed it.

It must have been some time back.

Can answer my own question as I've just found the answer.:dunce:

It was the dreadful 86/87 season - in fact, we only scored 37 goals all season,

How could I forget? D'uh.

And that dreadful year was followed up by one of our best when we bounced straight back to Division 2 with Sunderland. Remember the last day of the Season when we beat Bristol Rovers to secure promotion, the elation that day was narrowly beaten by last Sunday, only difference was that we were expected to beat Rovers, think we went into last Sunday with City as narrow favourites.

And that was my first season as an Albion fan. I'm surprised I'm still here!!!

Is anyone else out there old enough to remember us winning
10-1 and then 9-1 two weeks later?

I was at both games standing in the North-west corner. November 1966 I think. Wisbech (cup) and Southend (league).

Soon after I got the exalted position as collector of the corner-flag in the south-west corner. I was allowed free-entry for completing this task.
