It's really interesting that RDZ has used squad rotation so thoroughly. Quite often managers in the past have paid lip service to this, but that's clearly not the case here. I reckon it has cost us points this season (Webster is a good example of someone who needs 3 or 4 games before playing his best stuff), but it'll be exciting to see if we benefit in the second half of the season.
If we are on the coat tails of the top six and into the knockout stages by the end of 2023, it'll surely have been a price worth paying. I hope other teams start fielding players outside their first XI who are not up to speed, as injuries take affect. Meanwhile we won't really have that at all, as the whole squad has played a part from the first game of the season.
We have something like 24 players who have appeared in at least 6 of the 16 games this season. Extraordinary. No wonder squad morale is so high. A proper squad effort so far.
