Margate's future is in major doubt after the club's application to build a new ground was turned down by Thanet Council. The club knocked down Hartsdown Park a year ago, with plans to bring it up to Conference standard. But the council turned down Margate's ground plans because there was not the necessary funding in place. Margate have been playing at Dover's ground since the demolition of Hartsdown Park. The announcement casts a major doubt over the club's future. There is a press conference at 3pm

If you sell or knockdown your ground without something in place to replace it the owners know you're one step from going out of business.

Is this another Archer/Stanley/Belloti set up?
