Southern Rail hit by delay... on road

Southern Rail faced some unexpected delays - when a lorry transporting one of its carriages got stuck while trying to turn a corner at a crossroads.

Eyewitness Luke Alexander said the 20m (66ft) electric unit became "wedged" against a traffic light in Crystal Palace, south London."

How to get to Selhurst Park;

By Train:

From Thornton Heath, take a left along Brigstock Road and then a left on to Whitehorse Lane – the stadium will be on your right. From Selhurst, head north along Selhurst Road then take a left on to Clifton Road. Those arriving at Norwood should follow Station Road, head left on Selhurst Road and then finally take a right along Park Road.
