Looking forward to my first away game since signing up. I cannot wait !!

Just wondered if anyone could advise where the best place to park in Southampton is so we can get back to the M3 quickly afterwards?

cheers !

ps In support of the 1901 club my mate is a local business man and has bought 4 1901 club tickets for Falmer. He will bring much needed revenue to the club and is part of a new generation of supporter. We need a mixture of supporters to be a long term success in my opinion. We also need supporters and businesses who will attend and promote events at the Amex on non match days also.

At some point Mr Bloom will want a return on his investment. Just basic maths on the interest payments alone when the agreement expires shows you how much extra revenue the club needs to generate.

I think Big Mart is saying that signing up to the 1901 club meant that he was guaranteed an away ticket for the Scumhampton game.

Fishing? If someone really has got priority for Saints away cos they're a 1901 member at Falmer that's disgusting. It should be CURRENT STH then regulars with a proven history etc (or white members I suppose) - Not people who don't go to games but are going to at Falmer.

Of course they won't admit to it, but I saw a lot of funny handshakes in the ticket office this morning.......

Tut Mr Roaster, I hope you were debagged as you left.

Seriously though 1901 club members can't have priority for Southampton I am sure of that. And neither should they.

Woah ...this has got run out a bit. Just to clear where I was coming from

1. I understand the need for the 1901 club seats and am not knocking it.
2. I am a STH and bought my away tickets for So'ton myself and am not a 1901 member and have no intention of becoming one nor can i afford it.
3. I don't believe they should get priority for away games but understand the carrot the club has dangled considering the outlay. It ain't cheap !
4. My point about the revenue that needs to be generated was that the day will/could come when Tony Blooms investment will need to be paid back. It is highly unlikely when the current interest free period expires that the club will be asked to repay all the money in one go. In fact they could be asked to pay interest on the investment? (not an unreasonable assumpion?) Imagine what that would cost, plus investment in players wages, transfer fees etc?

Like I said before it's all about balance. I have no wish to iron a pair of chinos and put on a smart casual shirt to go and watch a football match.
I'll be at Saint Marys looking scruffy eating a pie and supping a warm pint and shouting at suspect linesmans decisions.

Like a lot of posts on here a constructive meeting with the club on this subject would help to put a lot right.

I bid you good evening.:amex:

4. If Tony Bloom has not recouped his outlay by 2023, then he has stated that outstanding monies will be converted into shareholdings. No interest is due, now or in the future.

TB has the option to convert the loan into shares instead of being repaid at the end of the loan period. Either way he is an astute businessman.
