Can anyone who has had an Amex viewing tell me why the back of the South Stand has big holes left in back wall either side of the video screen?

We are going to Americanise football this season. If any stray shot goes through these gaps, that team gets a bonus goal and after 90 minutes 'added time multi-ball' is activated.

I was under the impression that because it's the away end we were leaving some gaps in the cladding as a "starter" for opponents' ultras to demolish it. We have apparently left some seats out for the same reason and (very generously in my view) made sure that the big screens are accessible to fans standing at the back of the stand.
With Millwall, Palace, West Ham and Leeds to visit this welcoming approach, which was developed as an extension of the idea of changing the colours to match opponents and serving bottles of their local ales, should be especially well received.
