Smallest County in UK by area?

Anyone know what the smallest county in the UK by area is?

Discussion ongoing and Google has swung between Rutland - Isle of Wight and The City of London.......

Anyone an expert on UK Counties currently browsing NSC?

Strangely, there's a Sussex connection here. He died in London but Engels' ashes were scattered into the sea from Beachy Head because it was a favourite place for Marx and Engels apparently.
