Yes. Agreed. Because I don't have HD, I don't get to read the text on the sides of the screen. Really annoying if you want to know scorelines of games being played.

And I don't even get the offer of a reduction in my subscription because of this.

I am of the opinion that they've done it on purpose to force people onto HD. The new setup relies heavily on having HD and/or a v.big screen to read a lot of the text.
