Sadly, I don't think we'll see Simon Rodger playing for us again.

He's not getting any younger.

If he does get fit, I'm not sure who he'd displace!

Mayo's doing alright (again, done well in the 1st last time). wouldnt be sorry to see the back of Jones but can be entertaining... Oatway i feel can do a job in midfield if you want to be defensive, no matter what the knockers say. Watson, while pretty good, i just cant see him getting back into the first team. Reid and Piercy i think can do alright at this level. Rodger would do well too if he gets fit, even if he has lost a little edge. Chippy's the player we really need to get back off the physio table though.

At least, with all these players fit, we have some depth and options in the squad just need to sort out the front line. If you ship them out, who are you going to replace them with? not many players fancy Brighton id wager, and they'd want Championship wages from the off. and if the worse happens and we drop, at least we know we'd have a team strong enough to get us striaght back up :clap2:

reid is good enough for this level if given a few games run out, as he showed last season, i thought he was our best player when we brought him in.

and piercy, the few times he has actually played, and looked bothered he has looked quite good, but i dont see piercy into our style of play, that being a hard working team.

Piercey is only on a short-term contract I thought. Therefore he's not a drain on the club. He's got the ability, but he's got to get past these injuries, if not, there's no point him being around.

As for Simon Rodger, is he still being paid. I thought his contract ran until the end of last season. Anyone know how long he's got (if he is still under contract)?

Watson contract runs until the end of this year, and I think he'll be 'allowed to leave'.

Oatway has played OK so far this season, and I'm not a fan of his I must say, but he will always be good as cover.

Reid looks good, and is now back after his injury.

I really want to see Rodger back. I thought he was the lynchpin of the side that almost made up the gap after giving everyone else a 14 game start.

Him and Chippy in miodfield are an excellent combination and with Nicolas as well we could play five across the middle or Rodger on the left and Currie on the right.

I honestly believe *gulp* we could be three decent signings (a goalscorer, a regular provider and a classy centre back to partner Danny) away from being in playoff contention com April. I don't mean in the top four or whatever but 8th to 10th and a just good run away from glory!

Piercy is a good player, he just needs that run of being well....remember he's been out with an illness not an injury so you cant class him in the Kitson area!
I'm hoping he gets alot of games as I'm sure he could be the missing link somewhere on the pitch that we need!

Perhaps he should sign for Palace then, as they're a team full of 'missing links'.
