I know it was a few years ago now but how much did we get for Zamora in the end?

2 million seems far too much for a player who has barely played at that level.

Thank you.

Hmm. Good player n' that, Cox. But 2 milion for a player who will struggle at a higher level doesn't seem like value to me. Think a lot of people underestimate the gap in quality between League One and The Championship.

From what I've seen of Cox he really doesn't seem like that good a player. Admittedly he is a good finisher, but that's about it. He is also a moaner and a diver.

I think he may struggle in a higher division, especially top-end Championship. £2 million is a great bit of business by Swindon.

He may be a little shit, but I suspect as a striker he'll do OK at the Championship level.

Probably end up being be one of those who scores a bundle in the Championship but gets sold every time his team gets promoted because he's not considered good enough for the Premier League. There have been plenty of them in the second division: Rob Hulse, Robert Earnshaw, Geoff Horsfield etc.

Did well last season but he's only scored once in about 10 appearances against us. Definitely not worth 2 mil.

Deon Burton was amazing at doing this, scored about 25 goals to get teams up then flogged

I am glad that he went for £2m as it wouldnt then be unrealistic for us to expect in excess of £1m for Glen Murray, who barring injuries is every bit as good as Cox.

Agreed , it certainly enhances Muzza's transfer valuation to £1M+.

Ridiculous statement, cox last season was joint top scorer in the country. Also the fact that Murray may be proven to be injury prone would be a factor preventing any team wishing to punt a million on somebody who has a questionable injury record.

He proved that he can score goals in a low division not that he can do it at a higher level and in a goals per minutes played ratio is probably no higher than Murray. As regards Murray's injury a prespective buyer might consider that their medical team could sort out his problems better than ours.
