Reading midfielder Steve Sidwell believes manager Alan Wanker would be foolish to consider joining West Ham - because he has a brighter future at the Madejski Stadium.

The England Under-21 international said: "He is very happy here and confident of the future here.

"We are as good as West Ham, if not better, and in two or three years time will possibly be a much stronger club than them.

"My wanker boss is so well respected in the game but that's down to his track record and what he has done. He is a great manager and he is an English manager, which is good these days."

Pardew only got rid of Rougier because he has a tiny dick and didnt want our Tony to give him a complex!

If SC told Pardew that he was considering taking the West Ham job Pardew would be up the East End touting himself within the day.

To be fair, Sidwell is right about the club, though if it had been last year, or even prior to the getting rid of the "stars" this summer then it may have been a different story.

West Ham are a big club, with a great history and loads more fans than us.

But:

(1) We have a better team at the moment than West Ham, if you look at the starting 16. There isn't anyone I would take other than Defoe and Carrick.
(2) We have more money to keep improving the team
(3) We're higher in the league
(4) We're equal with West Ham to win Division One/get promoted this year
(5) The expectations of West Ham fans are to get promoted, anything else will be failure. We're not in that situation.
(6) We have a youth academy now far above West Ham, about 7th in the country.
(7) Their finances are appalling, and the club is very unstable, whereas ours is one of the most stable in the entire league, running itself every year and not relying on Madejski to pump in funds...
(8) Pardew didn't jump at the chance for the job at Ipswich, Derby, or Sheffield Wednesday last year, who were in the same situation as West Ham above a smaller club like Reading.
(9) The culture of the club is just not very Pardew. He likes to bring in "incomplete article" players and develop them... not rely on a few stars to shine.

So, I can't see him going. It'd be a step backwards. Sidwell speaks the truth :clap2:

Now if Curbishley went to West Ham, then I'd be worried. Pardew would go to Charlton within the hour if Curbishley left. They're an ideally-suited club to Pards.

Im guessing you'd also takes James.:dunce:

No way! We already have someone who throws the ball well and stops shots, but is occasionally prone to the odd rolling out of the ball to Zamora!

Connelly you would also take. I know what you mean, but i reckon as a manager you'd consider West Ham to be a bigger club. You do have more stability but does that mean anything in football. Look at Leeds, Leicester.....:nono:

Not denying that West Ham are a bigger club, as there are many bigger clubs than us in Division One (Palace, Derby, Forest, Sunderland, Ipswich, Norwich etc...), but then Sheffield Wednesday are a bigger club too.

I just don't think that a bigger club appeals to him unless its stable. After first-hand experience of how important job security is nowadays and seeing the falling down of ex-Prem clubs and the way Pardew and Madejski speak to us at the fans' forums, we can't go wrong. The only way the club can go is up! West Ham can go up or down, but its all up in the air at the moment.

I imagine if a Premiership job came up and they wanted Pardew then he'd go unless it was Leeds or someone as facked as them. He's never left for bigger club jobs before and hopefully this'll just be another one in the list of clubs wanting him but unable to get him. I reckon Dowie or Moore. Or possibly both.
