I would like to see him stay at Everton say one more season due to age and gets more games than last season.

IMHO you need to make sure he is not a one season wonder, THEN if he is good again and bangs em in, he needs to be looking for European football. Man Utd his obvious choice as I understand he wants to stay oop north!!!

I don't really care about Everton, my interest in Rooney is that he develops properly and is a force for England for years.

And I just don't see how he can do that at Goodison Park, the jokers around him are not on the same wavelength. You saw in the summer that decent players were reading what he was doing, and playing with them he looked even better.

Either Everton sign about 11 quality players (which aint going to happen) or he should leave.

Lets face it Everton are in dire need of the cash, and at club level last season Rooney wasn't so marvellous. You wouldn't blame them for cashing in.
As for Rooney himself, as an Everton fan maybe he should show some loyalty to the club he claims to love, but we all know that there's no such thing as loyalty in football anymore.
He'll be off as soon as his agent can find the best deal for himself.

The lad is still only 18. From his point of view, I just don't see why there should be any hurry for him to join a bigger club at this stage of his career. As soon as he moves, whether it be to Man U, Chelsea or whoever, the pressure and scrutiny that he will have to deal with will multiply 10-fold.

He has years and years ahead of him for all that. Let him have another season or two at Goodison.

Yes!! He should come and join the Super Seagulls and we'd have the shortest-ever frontline in the "Championship" :smokin: :lolol:

I think he should go, he will be under even more pressure if he stays at Everton as he will be trying to keep them up !

For me hes already scrutinized everytime he runs on a pitch and changing clubs wont change that, at least if he signed for Utd he could get a break now and then as they have enough players to give him a rest, at Everton he will have to play every game this year.

i think he should stay where he is, and get match practise - if he went to man united or chelsea he's just be warming the bench, and thats not what england needs at the moment!

True, but at least he hasn't got a £25m price tag hanging round his neck to try and justify. Once someone splashes that sort of cash on him, if the lad went more than 3 games without a goal you'd have "ROON GOON FLOPS AGAIN" headlines all over the place.

Everton are clearly going to struggle this season, but Rooney just needs to focus on his own game and maintain a bit of stability in his life for now. He's only just completed his first full season, and he has his entire career ahead of him for those big-money moves. He should give it at least one more year at Goodison.

Without wishing to re-open the 'Is Ericsson a good manager?' debate an old friend of mine who is an Everton season-ticket holder says that he was actually pretty average for Everton last year. When he first burst on to the scene Evertonians would have killed to keep him, but now they think that, as has been said, he needs better players around him, so perhaps now would be a good time to cash in. This is by no means a unanimous view, even in my mate's local, but Everton fans are openly saying it now whereas last year it was heresy.

I think he should stay at Everton.

Moyes has done a fantastic job gently easing himn into the big time. Despite their perilous position in the League, Moyes has done what seems best physically for the lad. He doesn't play 90 minutes every week, and I'm sure that has contributed to the fact that he looked like the freshest player in the whole tournament this summer. He has also avoided the sort of regular injuries that the likes of Owen and Gerrad suffered from playing too much too young at that level.

Hats off to Moyes, and long may it continue. Can't see his development continuing the same way if he is suddenly the big money signing. Can't spend £30-40m on a player and then keep 'resting' him can you?

IMHO he needs to be at a club where he plays week in week out and he won't do that at Chelsea/Manure

if he went to man utd then someone is going to get seriously pissed off. they would have van nistlehorse, saha, smith and rooney. and often they only play with one striker! hopefully he will stay at everton.
