Should Jakey start against Boston in the LDV?

I cannot see that a 17 yr old hasn't got the stamina to play 90 mins. Saying he would get too tired is ridiculous

It's the 30 somethings who get tired playing a full match

Spot on Yorkie.

In my case (wrong side of forty - but still playing on), it's definately more difficult the older you get (so the wife says). When I was his age, I could just keep on running.

Give him a start, if he gets tired, make a substitution. Anyway, by the time he comes off, their back four will be knackered.

I agree Yorkie and I can guarantee that Jakey would do a lot more running than our Kerry and Watto. And at least he will give 100%.

it would be nice to see jakey start but i think it would be better for him long term if he come on as sub for knight after say about an hour as bb is right he's still young and don't want to throw him in to the deep end

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Expected line-ups have just been posted on the official site, with no sign of Jakey  not even on the bench
Mind you, he wasn't mentioned in the side on the official site against Forest Green Rovers in the previous round, so there is still hope yet!

Mr. McGhee says he wants goals in this match, well get Jakey in your side and you might bloody well score a few!
:goal:

Team likely to be:
4-4-2

Roberts,
Hinshelwood, El-Abd, Butters, Mayo,
Hart, Carpenter, Pethick, Jones
McPhee, Knight

Subs - Kuipers (gkpr), Watson, Wilkinson, Harding, Piercey

I agree with BrightonBird, and would like to see him get the second half, but not start.

Let's not push him on too far, we need to nurture his talent. however, I do think this is the perfect opportunity for MM to have a look at 3 or 4 of the kids. The way the first team is playing we may need a couple of them fairly soon. Well, the way injuries are piling up we'll certainly need them soon, so this has to be the perfect opportunity to take a look.
