Yes, definitely. And the sooner the better - for consumers, for tourists but most importantly of all for employers and exporters.

Isn't that the crap way that the french economy is run rather than the euro?(may need someone who knows what they're talking about to clarify that...)

that is certainly possible. + what i did understand was them saying 1cent etc was just pointless worthless money. it would equal around 0.66p in our money or something like that

Hard to say. Both sides have their pros and cons. Probably best to wait a few more years and see the long-term affects on the countries currently involved.

Isn't it a bit nimbyish to not want the Euro? We are part of Europe and in a recent survey 85% of people interviewed, if they had the finances or job opportunity would like to be able to emigrate, mainly to Spain and France.

So we'd like to emigrate there but we don't want their currency  :shootself

I'm in favour of waiting a few years, as it's easy to get in but much harder to get out. I don't think there's a need to do it right now, but it may well be in our best interests in the future.

As long as companies in the UK don't take the piss and mark everything up during the change over I really can't see it being a problem for me.
