Yeah so this is pretty shameless but just thought I'd share with everyone.

My band Last Days of Lorca have got a song on the soundtrack of the new Danny Dyer film, Jack Said.

Apparently the film is RHUBARB (straight to dvd as well), just thought I'd let you know incase you enjoy the song. It's at about five minutes in, as the great man himself is walking into a pub. In case any of you have got the film. Which you haven't.

Also thanks to Notters and anyone else who made it down to the gig at Casablancas last week.

Well done Mellotron, that's a song on a film with some big names, you should be chuffed. There is a trilogy of these films, the last one Jack Falls is being cast at the moment.

What's the movie abaht?

Ah you know son, muggy types innit.

I'll put it this way. At the end of each scene, instead of saying "goodbye" or "see you later", someone will invariably end the conversation with "now f**k off". Should give you a good idea.

It's your typical london gangster film, although done in a kind of noir-ish, Sin City style, without going full out in that direction.

How bizarre on many levels...

I've just finished watching the film which I got for my birthday.

My birthday was the 8th october in which this thread began

I recognised the song instantly because I used to play the track all the time on my radio show when I was a student at Southampton University (my show was Surge unsigned).

Then I ended up working for BBC 6 Music and brought your track to Tom Robinson's 'Introducing' show.

The track is on my jogging playlist cause it's great to run to.

It's just bizarre that how I know this track so well, that I get this obscure film for my birthday only to hear it on the telly! Life's random moments...

When did this film come out? And how did you get this track onto the film?

Massimo
