Is it just me, or was that a total load of bollocks?

Most of the acts were just plain shit, and even the people I'd previously liked were pretty lame, not helped by the fact that the muppets who organised the event (or edited it for TV) obviously thought that it would be much better to cram as many names in as possible, therefore giving each comedian about 4 minutes.

It was quite good last year with the likes of Russell Brand and The Mighty Boosh. This year's was embarrassing, and perhaps they should let the idea die!

Was it at the RAH last year? Not sure the accoustics in there are suitable for comedy. I flicked in and out when Harry Potter scared me, but I got the same impression. Also, a lot of the acts seemed to do tried and tested routines that I've seen a few times. Russell Howard is a good, young comic, but quit it with the epilpetic brother gag!

Yeah it was. And it is shit for comedy. Especially when the sound is done so badly, I know the comedy on offer wasn't that good but the sound mix made the audience sound like most of them had died. It doesn't help when you're sitting in the comfort of your home you can't even hear the people enjoying it live laughing.

The free state of Kemp Town
Utterly rubbish.

Total disappointment.

Nothing original or fresh, nobody given any serious amount of time and it took forever to finally hear from Mr Izzard who was then just as hurried as all the rest
