David Stockdale is convinced Albion have yet to see the best of Bobby Zamora.
But the Seagulls goalkeeper would love to see him change that at Reading on Saturday.
Zamora’s two late winners recently have helped Albion stand four points clear at the top of the table – and now seven ahead of the seventh-placed Royals ahead of their showdown at the Madejski Stadium.
But Stockdale believes fans have seen nothing yet.
He told The Argus: “Apart from the last couple of years, I’ve been with Bobby now for what? Eight years? I know what he’s like.
“He’s awesome. The way he talks, the way he handles himself.
“He is good enough to play higher but he has decided to come home.
“He could still play in the Premier League if he was fit.
“His problem is he was without a club this pre-season and I still don’t think we’ve seen the best of him, even though he has scored the two goals.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the best of him.
“And you’ve got to remember he is our strength in depth on the bench so that just goes to show how well we’re working as a team.”
