Can official World Champs be unofficial World Champs??

Me hopes not!! :lolol: :lolol:

Yes, they can.

The Title is quite often defended at the World Cup (assuming that the holders at the time qualify), and so is eventually unified with the FIFA Title, remaining so until the Champions suffer their first post-tournament defeat.

Scotland are in a far FAR tougher group than England and are punching above their weight. Far fewer PONCES in the squad is the main reason, along with a genuine PRIDE in playing for their country. Israel players have that same pride. England players, on the whole, don't. Oh well.

And a manager that has a clue, that helps.

Absolutely. I don't think Scotland will qualify in the end, but they really are beginning to look like a side that can win again. They're only in a difficult group because Vogts dragged them down and their seeding dropped very low. With these results, FIFA ranking has risen dramatically, and they will be seeded higher in the next round of qualifiers (for South Africa). England, meanwhile, as a result of current performances, will drop down and end up with a difficult group for that one.

I still maintain that the Premiershite is the reason for all this. Does anyone really believe it's a coincidence that by far England's best performer in Germany was the only member of the squad never to have played in the Premiership?
