What an incredible story though, going back to topic. No little boy aged 12 can decide they want to become a little girl. It's incredible, and surely he'd have to start at a new school?!

They can, they just do anything about it physically (or legally) until they are 18.
It's probably advisable to go along with it to, rather than letting them top themselves because they think they are trapped in the wrong kind of body.
I not entirely sure how the press have helped by posting all over the front pages either.
The situation isn't unique either, it happens all the time.

I'm not sure any surgery can take place until 18, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
