Interesting read. Is is funny how fans of all clubs panic and doubt their manager at the first wobble in form.

Fellow Seagulls on our forum would never doubt Gus if we lost a couple of games............Oh

Yeah, imagine if our fans started jumping on Poyet's back because of a few bad results.

Wait.

Edit- beaten to it. Great minds and all that!

They're f***ing deluded !!!
Why are they all saying their team looked good & dominated the 1st half ?
I thought they looked pretty toothless from the off (even before the red card)

They made us look like the away team up to the sending off and had a legit goal and a few decent chances - dominate may be a bit strong but they were certainly on top.

They should be rightly aggrieved at their capitulation at having a player sent off. they seemed just to give up or demonstrated that they are just a one player team

Amazing that they are still top with an away record with less wins than us & a negative goal difference.

I wasn't there but "dominate" was the word the Sky pundit used.

That's typical Sky, wanking all over the teams at the top of the league. I actually thought the game was very even until the sending off, albeit that Sourhampton had the better of the chances.

Having said that, I really didn't think they looked like a top of the table side, and the way they surrendered the space after the sending-off gives even more weight to the fact that not even they believe they can win games without Lambert. The last time he was out of the side, they lost at Bristol City and Doncaster without scoring.

Looks like another 3 defeats without scoring coming up then!

You could be talking about Brighton fans tbh, there are a huge amount of fickle plastics on here.

That's pretty unfair. We've been pretty woeful since mid September not the past few games. We have picked up points but against Forest and Cov we were pretty fortunate and then we went on another run which could have seen us heading towards relegation zone ... on top of that disciplinary. So some (me included) and can't speak for all were simply saying we need to be making changes ... just sticking with same old would likely produce more of the same.

Yesterday Gus's hand was forced to some extent ... it doesn't matter .. we saw some pretty radical change (and accepting a slice of good fortune too) we looked more dangerous, more hungry and more assured than I've seen in months. It more than proves we can play and not put in the sort of miserable performances we have of late, Burnley excepted. I'm actually less worried by results and more bothered by performance and effort. Get that right and with the right players results will come (what some on here call "learning" I guess)

Scummers fans on the other hand are way off ... they've blipped, nothing more (not yet anyway) and they are still top ... what I wouldn't give for that!

I dunno mate you may be right but apart from their "goal that wasn't" I didn't think they looked that threatening going forward at all & certainly not a team deserving to be sitting top.
I'd had a drink or 6 lol but I do remember thinking they don't look on it today..... Definitely a one man side though

I thought Harding had Buckley pretty much in his pocket. D'Urso screwed him by booking him for an excellent tackle and then having words for what was a strong shoulder.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha ha

What an utter moron. (Not BoF - the Saints fan he's quoted). I can be woefully biased when commenting on an Albion game but that really is incredible.

Oh come on. Saints were the better side in the first half but we dealt with it well enough. Lambert being sent off was a turning point, but they are staggeringly one dimensional as a side and I would worry if I were them for the next 3 games as they looked hopeless without him.

As for Harding, he was completely out of his depth and Buckley utterly destroyed him two or three times. 'Twas hilarious!
