If I'm honest, the Olympics have put me off football a little bit, and I'm a STH. :-(

I hear you. It's not the Albion, but just football in general. The connect of the Olympians with the British people just isn't there in the main part with footballers.

I love football, but it somehow doesn't quite feel as genuine and real as the last 16 days have been.

Olympics has been brilliant watching the emotion, success, despair, and pure sportsmanship from all involved. Its been brilliant to see the country pull together from the supporters to the volunteers, to the athletes. Its been amazing because of whats its meant to everyone involved.

I can't wait for football because of how much it means to me. Thats the difference for me; Olympics has been great to watch other people have their moment, but football will always mean more to me.

I think your wrong....it wont be forgotten by next week. This Olympics has changed the way we look at sport . PROPER sportspeople ..total passion and love for what they do . They care.
I love the Albion.... have since 1966.. but honestly ..they have some real prima donnas in the team now. I see them at the Virgin Health Club... totally ignoring the kids there...the ones in the BHAFC shirts ..their idols. They dont give a f*** !
Its certainly changed the way i look at sportspeople now. And just wait until the emotional Paralympics start in a couple of weeks. THEN ..lets talk about disadvantaged sportspeople and footballers !!!

Agree... Albion are my love . But this two weeks has totally changed my view re footballers and their attitude in general.Feigning injury...diving..cheating..the nonsense at corners ..the list is endless. Weve experienced amazing sport..total commitment..honesty..tears because someone has only won a silver medal...the list goes on . Years of hardship and endeavour for a 'moment'. Yes..it is genuine and real !!

The Olympics has put me off footballers rather than football. They are mostly only interested in grabbing more money as RVP's reported deal proves.

This. I'm sure I'll be happy when I go to the Cardiff match but at the moment I'm just a bit 'meh' about football.
