The Scottish attitude to the English is worse than the English attitude to the Scots (deeply reprehensible as that often is) - although whether that is true with the Welsh and English is a different matter -

There is a reason we SHOULD remain aloof about the whole situation, and it's simple;

THE ENGERLAND are far superior to all our Isles neighbours, therefore it's basic but understandable that they should eat their livers as whipped dogs of the uber-meisters, the ones who rule them all, THE FOOTBALL GODS !
We should keep regarding them in the position that they deserve to be, and nod and pat them on the back if they happen to win - in a 'parental' approval - and ignore their curled lips at everything that we do.
Remember, to them we are the Romans, to us they are the People's Front of Judea and The Judean People's Front.

It's why they hate us, and it should be maintained .
