Didn't know he'd moved there from Hull, but a check of the BBC Sports website reveals that he has made a permanent move.

Good luck to him. I always thought the bloke had potential, but never really got a chance at Brighton, mostly due to injuries.

I was disapointed when he left as i always felt he did a decent job for us and will always remember his chip over Roberts against reading and the 1st goal back in the 1st division at burnley.Good luck melts

i thought he was yet another midfielder cast aside by this club with obvious potential. he scored two cracking goals in just a handfull of appearances- the step over and shoot from edge of box against, hull i think and then the following season the second against reading, getting on the ned of a great zamora ball then lobbing ben roberts to put us 2-0 up. why cant three succesive managers see he has more to offer than Charlie, who trys his best that is certain but he is just not up to it...

People go on about Brooker getting lost in a game,Well this bloke was an expert at that.Scored a good goal when we were already winning against Hull, and the same against Reading .Why do people keep going on about Melton?.Just a very average player who has found his level now.If he ends up in division 1 in 2 years time i will hold my hands up.
