I arrived at 8pm on thursday into a very surprising quiet ciampino airport but well arranged and bags arrived promptly.

I have been nothing but impressed with Rome overall, the buildings and layout of the city is incredible. The transport system is relaible and cheap....£10 and that gets you on any bus or tram or underground for a week....bargain.

So far ive seen the pope waving at people on saturday...from a distance...seen the colloseam....incredible.....been to various museams....taken loads of pics and chilled out by the river while eating the worlds greatest pizza....WHEN IN ROME!

The underground is an expiereince in its self and you can spot the theives a mile off randomly checking out their pray on the platform and shuffling nervously around the carriage, any unsuspecting yank or brits with no sense beware these boys will have you, luckily for me my time served in Manchester has my theiving rader all too well primed for these I..Ti's!

I went to Lazio v Parma yesterday...14 euro to get in and a quality seat at the end of it.....awful game and atmosphere was surprisingly poor...Lazio stole it in the last minute for anyone who cares..

First day working today and it went quite well....when you get to learn that the italians are the worlds biggest posers and that look in the eye isnt arrogance...its just a shear fact they know their the bollocks and can carry cool to a whole new level..it makes the expiereince a little nicer!

The highlight must be the incredible looking women in every direction you look from 18-50 they all look fresh off the catwalk.......seeing is believing!

SEAGULLS!

Roma v udinese on sunday.........Albion shirt in the ground me thinks!:drink:

Oh and some work in between....boooo!

Beware of the Albanian women with babies on the underground, they are the biggest thieves

I found that out in Madrid when we went to watch Real Madrid lost wallet containing passport cash luckily not Credit cards they were in another pocket. I stopped to help a little girl who appeared to have fallen over on the platform getting on the train. I handed her to her mother the doors shut and off they went.

Getting on a crowded train with a sliding door is probably the most hazardous thing that can happen to your wallet. That's why I always carry a spare one, with nothing of value in it.

And be prepared to get off the train with the person who has his/her hand in your pocket. They are often prepared to return the loot if they get caught in mid-dip. After all, they've underperformed on that particular occasion, the next train is due in a couple of minutes and there are plenty of other tourists who have gone out for the day equipped to fund the families who live on the margins of society.
