I thought the same and put it down to a combination of factors

He played a bit more than we would have anticipated and was a bit fatigued come the end of the season.
He was carrying an injury
Oscar prefered experienced heads at the business end of the season.

Well he didn't get many minutes on the pitch.

What I got from this is how distant footballers are from reality.
Kevin Philips on his long hours: "what I have had to get used to are the long hours. I'm leaving home at 7.30am and not getting back until about 5pm"

Poor old Kevin Philips, he thinks a normal average (possibly short even) working day is long hours. Awww didums.

I often leave home at 7.00am dont get back until 8/9pm a lot of that time is traverling, but seriously what a gimp.
