My brother and I invented a variation on the theme when we were bored and drunk in a field in Devon last summer called "Bear, Goat, Snake" - Snike bites Goat, Goat spikes Bear (?) and Bear hits Snake against tree. You have to do an impression of your chosen animal on the count of three. It's great fun...............when you're bored and drunk and in a field in Devon. Try it.

No way would a goat beat a bear. I'd have:
Snake bites bear
Bear mauls goat
Goat impales snake

It's open to interpretation I agree. As long as you and your fellow player are playing the same rules then the animal interaction hierarchy is interchangeable. I just like the idea of the Bear hitting the Snake against a tree and the Goat sneaking up on the Bear and spiking him with his horn.

One of the most impressive sentences to be written on NSC. Nice one.

What about Cullip Roberts Oatway?

Oatway bites legs of Roberts
Roberts punches Oatway
Cullip slaps Roberts

I love it. A good variation on a theme and can be used on away trips.

But Roberts is getting beaten up TWICE, Oatway v Roberts is a draw, and what happens with Cullip v Oatway ? Or is it supposed to be like that ? I'm confused.

Cullip swears at Oatway (and Oatway, being a gentle soul, can't take it)

Only Fran would get upset at Roberts being beaten up twice
