Harsh - the fella's not getting injured on purpose, I'm sure he'd rather be fit and playing.

McGhee has already said that Roberts will have to prove his fitness before getting another contract. With his current one up in the summer, it looks like this could be curtains for him (can't see McGhee handing out a Blackwell).

Sad news. :(

That is right it is his fault he got injured, he has set out this season to have a bad back and then a knee injury, he wanted to be stuck in the physio's room all season and pick up a wage so fleecing the club.

Such a waste of space that he was part of a defence that let in sod all for most of the second half of last season and so got us promoted.

Do think before posting.

Maybe a bit but he is probably one of our highest earners and all he ever does is spend his time in the physio room.

Is Shaaban still here?

Probably the same injury as Meade's Ball then!!

I was right when I posted that earlier - Strained Buttock by any chance? :lolol:

At least now we'll get a fit keeper as the back up to the FDM for next season. :clap2: :clap2:

He is training with us but will not play on Saturday. But could sign at a later date if McGhee wants him and a deal can be worked out.

What did part of Roberts' body has he injured now?

Knee apparently, so it may not all be over for him yet as its his back which usually seems to be the cause of his problems.

It sounds really unlucky and really painful on the official site, one of our players fell on his outstretched leg in a goalmouth scramble, very nasty.

Left the ground on crutches too which dont bode well!

Sounds like a freak accident then rather than a re-occurance of a previous injury which could be a blessing in diguise

Sorry UB, I like you ( ;) ) but can't agree with you on this one

All the previous poster said was that Roberts was a waste of space as we've hardly seen him this season due to injuries....I tend to agree, get rid, complete waste of money this season, we're not a charity (and we have f**k all money anyway, as the club often reminds us.....)

The guy has spent all season getting fit again, gets a freak injury 9 mins into his first game and everyone's writing him off as an injury prone waste of space and money? That's harsh, we may be pissed off I bet he's f***ing gutted.

Me and Danny Seagull chatted to Ben Roberts in the Event one night a few weeks ago, he said he loves the club and wanted to play for us again. The man is a top bloke and I wish him well after this latest injury. How DARE anyone call him a waste of space.

No one's mentioned a certain Mr Kitson. Surprising.

So are you. Twat.

Just really hope it isn't going to be too much of a problem - he really is unlucky.

Why? So you are happy that one of our highest earners has barely featured all season? He is costing the club money.
