A couple of days ago, I was casually flicking through NTL's 200 channels when I came across a documentary about the Twin Tower attacks on 11th September and accompanying the film, with no dialog, was Barber's Addagio for Strings.

I remember seeing this performed at the Proms and watching the film brought back memories of that day and brought me round to thinking about Robert Eaton and what we Albion fans have done to keep Roberts memory alive.

If you are looking to buy one piece of classical music in your life, Barber's Addagio would be my recommendation.

Rest in Peace Robert

I agree with your recommendation for Barber's Adagio for Strings but would also make the case for Earl Wild and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's recording of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18, conducted by Jascha Horenstein - a truly fantastic piece of moving and romantic classical music.
