Brighton played quite well knocking the ball around.Southend were a bit more direct.Quite an entertaining match.
Chris May saved a penalty in the first half and we went ahead with a well worked goal eventually taken by Hammond.
Southend equalised with virtually the last kick of the game.
We should have won on chances.
Cox wide right and S.May played well out of the youngsters.
El-Abd was quite commanding at centre back.Didn't think OGH looked very interested or very good not his night didn't look very happy.Jones was encouraging the youngsters all night and got involved, told off by Dean White for showboating.Reid looks an accomplished right back.Lee looked like Lee.

Bet Hart wasn't too impressed playing in the reserves. I think Jonesy will make a good coach one day, he's really enthusiastic. I'm glad he was willing to help the youngsters.

Quite enjoyed last night's game - will probably do it again.

Someone was certainly getting the mother of all bollockings in the changing room afterwards. I was just waiting for the sound of crashing tea cups...

To be honest, Hart looked quite poor and was clearly outshone by Coxy.
Someone told me the other day that he'd(OGH) had a falling out with McGhee.

Robert Codner was there. I think he may be helping an agent.

I thought it looked like him.
