Looks as though he has gone to Wigan, which would point at the take over by this foreign chap is heading for a conclusion.

Interesting!

I don't think so. It was a no-brainer for Bruce. Stay at Brum, where a new owner might be coming in, and where my position may become very shaky.

Or - move to Wigan, to stay in the Prem [until April, anyway] and work for a proper football chairman, who Hutchings notwithstanding, has proved very loyal to his managers in the past.

Bruce has also managed Wigan before so knows the set up. Good luck to him, but I don't think it offers any huge insight on the Brum situation.

I thought that there was a great deal of uncertainty as Yeung was having trouble financing the deal and had his deadline extension requeest refused. Therefore old Brucie decided to jump ship and take a Premiership job whilst it was available. ???

I prefer your theory though!

I know Bruce has managed Wigan before, but can anyone fill me in on the story as he was only there a couple of months or something like that?

Well I'm an optimist and I prefer to think he's left because the takeover deal WILL go through, in the end to our benefit.

Wise move for Bruce really, as he's been messed around a lot, just for this pretender who has stalled Brimingham while enjoying red carpet attention. Bad on Brum for doing it - but Gold must have also made it clear he's not interested in investing more money in the club while trying to sell, and that's not good for a Prem manager trying to avoid relegation either.

, even though he's just a confidence trickster pretending to buy the club.

Until he does keepy uppies in front of the Birmingham crowd (a la Michael Knighton? at Man U) I'll withhold judgement
