Colchester have confirmed that Phil Hadland has left the club by mutual consent.

Hadland joined the Us from Darlington during the summer but has failed to make an impact, making just two late substitute appearances for the first team.

He becomes the second player to leave Layer Road in the early season after Dean Morgan was allowed to depart in September.

Peter Taylor sure knew how to spot a good player!!!

He'll be able to tell his kids and grandchildren about the massive part he played in an Albion championship season whilst showing them his medal. Well you would wouldn't you :D
