If anything very much underachieved this season I would have said, oh for that awful start palace should have been 3 or 4 places higher.
We could all say that though. If it wasn't for the winless run in November/ December, we'd have been higher too. We're all where we deserve to be.

I don't think Bournemouth will lose loads of their players. It does look like Kerkez will be targeted by Liverpool which makes sense as Robertson has been playing like somebody's nan for the past three seasons. And Huijsen made his senior debut for Spain in the week and by all accounts was outstanding, which will make top Spanish clubs pay attention alongside all the PL names who were already sniffing around. It's reported by Ornstein that he has a £50 million release clause in his contract which is basically peanuts to any of the richer clubs. He's only 19, which means he's bound to be on Mr Toad's radar at Young Boys of Fulham.

Can't see the rest of their squad being quite so much in demand though, unless there are end-of-contract issues. They're good, but not everybody-wants-them good.

I do think European qualification will make a difference here.

Vultures will be circling for the players of whichever of us or them (if any) miss out

Leicester and Ipswich both looked pretty good in the championship and finished above a Leeds team that included Giorginio and Summerville.
In that same season, Burnley & Sheffield Utd looked every bit as bad as Southampton and Leicester do this season.

What makes you think that Ipswich are going to suddenly be much worse than Leeds, Burnley & Sheff U, next season?
Looking good in the Championship, but looking awful in the PL probably means they should spend more time in the Championship.

I don't think any PL team is so broke that they have to sell more than one or two players (Chelsea and City aside but they are special (basket) cases). The idea of Brentford, B'fluff, Fulham or Palace losing their manager and half their squad is farcical. The loss of one or two of their best players will certainly hurt but It shouldn't cause a relegation.
